I am somebody who is shy. Yet, I know that by knowing a little more about me it may encourage you to take that first step towards coaching, so here goes:
I am confident. I offer something of value.
My journey as a person who has led organizations, supported leaders, and worked across fields, approaches and vantage points has led me to one resounding belief: Our relations with ourselves, each other, and all beings is the force of life. We don’t always know how to be better or do better and can get stuck in our patterns, pain, and processing. I know I have those challenges. I also realized, I didn’t know how to get the help I needed. A coach? A therapist? Meditation? It was all newish to me. And all of it helped. It enabled me to realize that I had a unique set of skills and experiences that enable me to provide some ease in that journey of reset-ing life a bit. It doesn’t have to be navigated alone and often times you need a special space to be able to do so. So I added to my decades long experience of cultivating leadership and went into deep study and practice alongside East Bay Meditation Center, Marin NLP, and Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation. I’ve grown my skillset from that aunty, friend, and ally you might go to for advice to someone who can help you uncover, heal, connect, and practice acting and doing things more in alignment with the fullness of you.
I am compassionate. You are of value to me.
You matter to me - all of you. Your joy, pain, sadness, fear, excitement, hopes, grief, desires, burdens, dreams and anything that you may be carrying or traversing is important. Even if I do not know you because I believe each of us carries multitudes and having the space to be with that allows us to expand and grow in meaningful ways we might not other wise know. You are worthy of care.
Here’s a poem I return to when I want to remember how profoundly we can connect.
I am caring. Care is the cure.
The past few years, I have experienced profound grief, disconnection, and sadness. I learned to allow care in. That I am worthy of care. We all need care, strong relationships, and nourishing practices to survive. It’s about reciprocity and right relations. I care about Elandria William’s wish and their poem reminds me what care looks like.
I am creative. There is always a way.
Wisdom is all around us. I believe it is innate and guided in ways that require deep listening, reflection, and practice. I enjoy finding ways to unlock creative, elegant, reinforcing practices to enable you to be more present with the fullness of life.
